Gardening Adventures: Growing Blueberries~ EASY!!!

It's Blueberry Season! Follow this Blog entry by organic-gardening-adventures to learn how easy it is to grow your own Blueberries. I will be trying this next week with my daughter. I will post on our progress to see just how "easy" it really is! On this Blog I came across today, they also have a post below this one on where to find pick your own Blueberries in out local Hudson, FL area!
You can also visit the website PickYourOwn to search their data base and find a farm to pick Blueberries in your area. I was able to find one right here on Hudson Ave. We've never gone to any farms before to pick any kind of Fruits and Vegetables, so this will be a learning experience for sure. I saw that these Blueberries we would like to pick are the size of a quarter! The prices for picking Blueberries range from $3-$5 a pound depending on the farm. The BEST time to pick Blueberries is in Late April to Mid May. The best time to pick Blackberries is Mid May to Late June.
