Cinco de Mayo fajitas!

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! Tonight we decided to stay in and make some yummy steak and chicken fajitas for dinner. I went to the store and picked up some Mike's Margarita's and some margarita salt, so Joe and I could celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
The recipe for the fajitas I make is quite simple. I use the beef already cut into thin strips, that I have purchased at the store, chicken (I cut into thin strips), onion, green pepper, fajita seasoning mix (McCormick or Taco Bell brands are very good), flour tortillas. You will want to saute the onion and green pepper (sliced or diced) on medium-high heat, then remove them from the skillet and set aside for later. Then return the skillet to the heat and saute the beef, then the chicken. Add the water and package of seasoning mix (directions are on the back of the packet), and simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes. That's all you will need to cook! Then for your cold sides, serve, iceberg lettuce (sliced thin), diced tomatoes, cheddar or Mexican blend shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole! I eat my fajitas with the sauteed onions, green peppers and beef (or chicken) in the middle of the flour tortillas, then top with whatever toppings I like, fold and eat! Enjoy this recipe, if you are in the mood for some Fajita's for dinner!
Happy Cinco De Mayo!
