Luscious Fruit Blog: Watermelon Punch Recipe

You may have noticed that I haven't posted on my blog for a few days. I was taking a short break to celebrate my 7th Anniversary to my wonderful Husband. We decided to take a trip, just one night away from the kids. We stayed in a very nice resort in Orlando. While we were there we went to Seaworld, where we both braved the inverted roller coaster Manta.

On this ride, your laying on your stomach dangling from the harnesses, while the roller coaster flips you, and twirls you over and over. I literally felt like I was flying right along side Joe and two other ladies who I had never met before. Joe, who takes a Dramamine so his stomach can take the flips, loved the ride, but was a slight shade of Green for about 25 minutes after. Thank You Honey, for going on those rides with me. It was great.
Sea World is a cool place I have to say. Not only can you brave the scariest rides, learn about the Cutest and Coolest of Undersea Life, you can also indulge in a Brownie Sundae filled in a cup the shape of a Whale. Cool.

Our stay in Orlando was just perfect in every way, I can't wait to have more of those little romantic getaways with just me and Joe. I'll never forget the "Freedom" from Motherhood I felt when we were Parking in the lot at Sea World and I watched all of the Parents unfolding their strollers, piling up all their belongings, all while trying to keep track of their little one's in the Parking Lot. And they hadn't even gotten inside the Park yet. It was the best feeling to know I wasn't going to have to do any of that for the following 24 hours. It was Sheer Bliss.
Now that I am back in Reality, I am looking forward to my next Interview with a local small Produce Stand business to have Featured on my Home Page for the next 30 days.
Because Watermelon is now in Season and is showing up in our local produce stands and farms, I am showing off a couple of recipes for a Watermelon Punch. One from Martha Stewart's website, and the other is a really cool idea on converting a Watermelon into a Keg. If you are that ambitious, it is quite a cool way to serve your Melon Inspired Drink or Cocktail!
