Another day has come and gone, and I am happy to say it has been one of the finest days. This Easter we decided to go to Easter Mass at St. Peter the Apostle in Trinity, FL. The church is fairly new, so new in fact that they have only rented out a suite in a strip of local shops. There is a Five Guys restaurant and a Cold Stone Creamery next door, but that doesn't take away from the feeling that you get of united Faith, Friends and Family that this church already has in the few short months it has been there.
The chairs were filling up fast and there was standing room only, as the mass began with open prayer, and a very touching sermon from the Monsignor. Dozens of Easter Lily plants adorned the front of the altar. It was a very special Day. Easter Sunday.
Our girls Elaina 5, and Sophia 10 months were dressed in their Easter best. They received many compliments on how good their behavior was, and I was relieved to see a lot of other Families there with their children, trying their best to keep them occupied until the end of the service.
The day continued at my In-Laws home, where we relaxed and enjoyed the Florida sun on the lanai, snacked on yummy appetizers, while Elaina jumped in the chilly but refreshing pool. She is still swimming with floaties, but we will be working on her swimming, and possibly even get her to go underwater for the first time by herself. Fingers crossed.
Dinner was served by my In-Laws who are well known by our Family for their abundance of food. They cooked a Turkey with dressing AND a Ham. Sides galore. I couldn't even find room on my plate to fit all of the food there was to try. I was stuffed. But of course I had to have some dessert and coffee. It's such a tradition when we have any Holiday dinners, I couldn't imagine not indulging in the sweets and a hot coffee.
