Supporting Joe

I was driving my daughter to school this morning, when I saw this man on the corner. He was selling Produce out of the back of his pick-up truck. I've seen him many times in the past, and I always wondered how much he charged, what he was selling and how good the produce would be? But, I had never bothered to stop and check it out. Until today.
While I was on my way back from the school, I pulled off of the road and parked. Grabbed my cell phone and decided to introduce myself.
"Hi, my name is Becky and..uh...well,,I'm not sure where to start." I finally pulled myself together and told him that I was a writer for a Blog online that I publish. The Blog is about fruit and produce and healthy living. I then asked him if I could ask a few questions about his "business" and if he would allow me to take some pictures and feature his business on my Blog for one week. He said, sure. But I could hear the hesitation in his voice, and I realized he was just waiting to hear me say how much I was going to charge him for advertising.
I immediately said, "Oh, by the way, I am doing this for free!" He then laughed and walked over to me and put an arm around me to Thank me. That was great.
So I took some pictures, asked him some questions and told him I would return, to show him the work that I had done. (Printed on paper, since he isn't able to get online).
On the left of my blog is all of the information you need to find Joe, and buy some of his produce.
I'm so happy I did this and I plan in continuing Featuring a local produce seller each week.
